Tech Focus: WinMedia provides a unified radio and TV automation platform

The latest WinCam installation is at Laser 101 on St. Maarten Island in the Caribbean

WinMedia is a full-featured automation suite designed for broadcasters operating across radio, television and digital platforms, the company says. Built on a high-performance core engine with native support for audio and 4K video playout, the company says WinMedia enables seamless management of live and scheduled content.

The platform integrates playout control; media asset management, WinMAM; newsroom workflows, WinNews; advertising traffic, WinSales; and visual radio automation, WinCam, into a single ecosystem. According to WinMedia, this unified architecture simplifies operations, reduces infrastructure complexity, and ensures consistency across departments.

WinMedia supports modern broadcast standards and IP-based workflows, including NDI, Dante, 2110, MOS/JSON exchanges and SDI via DeckLink. Its web-based modules run securely on Linux environments, enabling remote access and distributed production.

The company adds that WinMedia’s flexibility, reliability and cross-media capabilities make it a solution for broadcasters looking to streamline operations and future-proof their infrastructure.
