SwissRadioDay organizers announce 2022 date

This year's SwissRadioDay will be both in-person and online

The SwissRadioDay team has announced the date of the next event: Aug. 25, 2022, in Zurich, under the banner “More inspiring than ever, face-to-face or remote.”

Whether at home, in the office or in the car, radio remains one of the Swiss’s favorite media, and every year in the last week of August, major players in the country’s industry meet to discuss its state and where it is going.

Inclusivity is key to SwissRadioDay’s identity. It is a joint project of state and private radio stations and the only event entirely devoted to radio open to representatives of all linguistic regions of the country.

Major sponsors include Swisscom Broadcast, SUISA, Swissperform, SwissMediaCast and IFPI, and this year, the union of non-commercial local radio stations, Unikom, and Anglo-Swiss DAB+ network operator digris are on board as sponsors.

The FM switch off will undoubtedly be on SwissRadioDay 2022’s agenda: Swiss Ofcom officially confirmed on Aug. 29, 2019, that the switch to DAB+ will happen by no later than the end of 2024.

Like previous years, RedTech will cover this year’s event.
