StreamGuys has appointed Dara Kalvort as vice president of digital sales and strategy and promoted Eduardo Martinez to executive vice president of technology, the company said, as it looks to expand its audio advertising and technology businesses.
In her new role, Kalvort will lead sales for the StreamGuys Ad Network, focusing on growing digital audio revenue through relationships with agencies and brands. StreamGuys said her remit includes creating new revenue opportunities for publishers while providing advertisers with access to targeted digital audio audiences. Kalvort will also work with publishers on audio and podcast strategies, including programmatic advertising.
“I’m impressed with Dara’s forward-looking approach to measurement, targeting and attribution. Paired with her background in the broadcast industry, she’s an asset for marketers and our network of publishers,” said Tim Labelle, EVP of global sales at StreamGuys.
Kalvort joins StreamGuys after more than 20 years in digital and media sales leadership. Most recently, she served as corporate vice president of digital sales and strategy at Spanish Broadcasting System, where she led digital operations, including streaming and third-party platforms. StreamGuys said she previously built SBS’s third-party digital division, helping generate nearly $1 million in revenue during its initial launch.
“StreamGuys sits at an exciting intersection of premium audio, technology and data,” Kalvort said. “I build strong, consultative relationships with agencies and brands, give them relevant targeting and clearer measurement, and at the same time make sure publishers are getting more value for their inventory. There’s a huge opportunity here, and I’m excited to lead it.”
Turning possibility into reality
StreamGuys also announced the promotion of Eduardo Martinez to the executive team. Martinez has spent nearly two decades at the company and previously served as vice president of technology, where he led research and development and supported the launch of several core products. In his new role as EVP of technology, StreamGuys said Martinez will mentor technical and operational teams and lead innovation in streaming and media services through partnerships and internal initiatives.
“Ed turns what is possible into reality,” said Kiriki Delany, president and founder of StreamGuys. “Ed’s vision and keen understanding of technology drive our solutions at StreamGuys. He skillfully listens to customers, anticipates what they need next, and translates that into powerful, reliable technology. We look forward to his expanded role across our company, setting the foundation and path for the future.”
Martinez said, “Streaming is evolving fast, from ultra-low latency delivery to smarter ad targeting and accessibility. My focus is making sure StreamGuys stays ahead of those changes while keeping the reliability our customers depend on. After nearly 20 years here, I’m excited to mentor the next generation of engineers and keep pushing what’s possible.”
