Saudi Media Forum highlights global media collaboration

The fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum in Riyadh attracted a record 30,000 visitors, according to organizers, with discussions focused on international media partnerships and content production. The event is Saudi Arabia’s largest specialized media event, and was held alongside the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX).

Saudi Media Forum President Mohammed Fahad Al-Harthi met with industry figures including Jacqueline Bierhorst, president, World DAB; Darryl von Däniken, founder of the International Radio Festival; Randi Kleiner, founder and festival director, SeriesFest; David Abraham, CEO of Wonderhood Studios; Amanda Palmer, founder of ArtCinema; Bob Leighton, S.V.P. of Global Liberty; and Kazuko Ishikawa, president of Nippon Animation. The discussions covered co-production models, investment in high-quality content and the role of technology in media production.

Al-Harthi highlighted Saudi Arabia’s investment in media accelerators, incubators and production funds designed to support international collaborations. He said, “The future of media is built on collaboration, innovation and cross-border content creation.”

The forum also explored AI in content creation, the evolving role of streaming platforms and Saudi Arabia’s potential as a hub for global media projects.
