The lowly transmitter “switchover” may seem like a wallflower in these days of glitzy AI and other glitzy digital toys invading the old radio space but sometimes you can teach a dog new tricks.
Witness WorldCast Systems Ecreso Switchover debuting at the upcoming IBC show in Amsterdam. It may not be AI but it’s getting smarter.
WorldCast Systems Ecreso Product Manager David Houzé said, “The Ecreso SwitchOver builds on everything our customers already trust, with the capabilities they’ve been asking for — dual power supplies, secure communications, reinforced security and built-in scheduling. It’s the same reliability our operators trust, now designed for the security and automation requirements of a modern broadcast network.”
A release explained, “Multilevel user management with defined access rights controls who can view, configure or manually switch the system. An independent security audit has also validated the unit’s protection against cyberthreats. A built-in scheduler enables operators to automate switching and control actions, simplifying routine operations and reducing manual intervention.”
The Switchover is aimed especially at WorldCast’s Ecreso AiO transmitter line. It is also compatible with the company’s Kybio digital network management system.
