Power 98 chooses BE STX 10 for major upgrade

Broadcast Electronics Power 98

XHMIX-FM, branded as Power 98, a radio station in La Rumorosa, Baja California, Mexico, has selected Broadcast ElectronicsSTX-10 FM transmitter for its station in California’s Imperial Valley in the United States. Power 98 broadcasts a contemporary hit radio music format on 98.3 FM.

“We have been on air since January 2024 with our new STX 10 transmitter; the signal is constantly at full strength with zero reflected power at 10,000 W. “The sound is of great quality,” said Javier Fimbres, owner of XHMIX. “Our engineer took a very short time to plug it in and put it to work. We are happy with the immediate support that we have gotten for implementing remote access, which was also an easy procedure.”

“We are pleased to be selected by Power 98 and thank them for trusting Broadcast Electronics to help deliver their programming to listeners on both sides of the border,” said Rich Redmond, president and COO of Broadcast Electronics, part of the Elenos Group. “We are confident the STX FM transmitters will deliver great-sounding audio, lower operating costs, and simplified maintenance for many years.”
