Portugal: Radio RDS digitizes with AEQ Forum Split

Radio RDS

Radio RDS is a Portuguese radio station with its main studios in the country’s capital, Lisbon. Radio RDS’s programming has always been very varied from its foundation to the present day, with numerous slots covering everything from national and local news to sports, music and entertainment. It broadcasts on 87.6FM and online via its website.

In the last renovation, the company’s technical management decided to select an AEQ Forum Split as the digital console for its main broadcast studio, citing its ease of use, robustness of operation, and high audio quality.

AEQ Forum IP Split is designed for on-air broadcast control. It incorporates all the essential features necessary, including automatic monitor cut, cough cut, fader start, control signals for automating external equipment and intercommunication.

The Forum IP Split comes with the FR Core modular engine in three-rack units. It comprises up to six quad-fader modules and a control and monitoring unit. Compatible with the new AES67 protocol via Dante technology, the console can deliver signals to other consoles, routers, and input and output terminal equipment from over 300 manufacturers.
