Pattison Media will deploy Quu’s visual messaging technology across 39 of its Canadian radio stations. The system will display programming and advertiser content on compatible vehicle dashboards and alongside the stations’ online audio streams. Pattison Media expects the deployment to create additional advertising inventory while adding visual information to its broadcast and streaming services.
Rod Schween, president of Pattison Media, pointed to the system’s role across the company’s audio and digital operations. “We’re committed to delivering audio and digital solutions that create greater value for our audiences and clients,” he said. “Quu’s visual messaging strengthens our radio offering while complementing the other innovation initiatives underway across our business.”
Steve Newberry, CEO of Quu, noted the growing number of screens accompanying radio listening in connected vehicles and digital environments. “Radio is no longer just an audio experience. As more listening happens in connected vehicles and through digital streams, broadcasters have new opportunities to engage audiences visually,” he said.
