In time for the NAB Show, Australia’s Media Realm has released an update to its MetaRadio “Now Playing” radio metadata manager.
MetaRadio is compatible with an impressive number of automation systems, hardware systems (including RDS hardware), streamers, digital radio broadcast systems (e.g. HD Radio, DAB), etc.
According to a release, “This update sees the introduction of remote web access, powerful image management, message scheduling enhancements, manual data overrides, and more.”

Metadata/Now Playing info is an underused and undermonetized asset at many stations and broadcast groups (along with podcasters and streamers as well). Karly McBride of MetaRadio’s US distributor Broadcasters General Store explained, “The management of Now Playing metadata has been a reoccurring need by many of our customers throughout the years. And since we started working with Media Realm in early 2025, the response on MetaRadio has been fantastic.”
She added, “Outside of its incredible affordability compared to other similar products, the ability for our customers to start a free trial while they learn, ask questions, and see all the ways they can make use of their metadata has been invaluable to many of them.”
MetaRadio was developed by Anthony Eden (pictured) in 2016.
At the NAB Show Media Realm can be found with its US distributor, Broadcasters General Store, Booth C2816.
