The National Association of Broadcasters announced that Mike McVay, president of McVay Media, will receive the 2025 NAB National Radio Award. The honor will be presented during the NAB Marconi Radio Awards at the 2025 NAB Show New York on Oct. 21.
The NAB National Radio Award is one of the most prominent individual honors in American radio. It recognizes outstanding leadership, significant contributions and service to the industry, with past recipients including executives, programmers and station owners who have shaped the medium in the United States.

Mike’s deep expertise, creative vision and unwavering commitment to excellence have shaped countless careers, inspired new generations of broadcasters and driven innovation in every corner of the audio industry. His ability to nurture talent and create programming that resonates with audiences makes him a most deserving recipient of this year’s National Radio Award.”
McVay Media consults clients across broadcasting, podcasting, streaming and entertainment, with services ranging from content creation and talent coaching to digital content development and network programming strategy.
Numerous honors
Before founding McVay Media, McVay served as executive vice president of content and programming for Cumulus Media and the Westwood One radio network, where he oversaw programming for more than 500 stations, national network content, podcasts and digital platforms. His career includes experience in programming, management, ownership and on-air work in markets across the U.S., and he has been involved in developing and launching multiple syndicated programs,
He has received numerous honors, including recognition as a 2024 Giant of Broadcasting by the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation, the 2024 Leadership Award from the Broadcasters Foundation of America and upcoming induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2025. He also serves on the boards of Country Radio Broadcasters, the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation and the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation, and is a member of the Media Committee for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The 2025 NAB Marconi Radio Awards will take place at The Edison Ballroom on Oct. 21, the evening before the NAB Show New York. The dinner program is presented by Xperi.
