Starting May 2, radio producer/presenter Iris Van Hoof joins Flemish station Nostalgie as station producer.
Van Hoof started her entertainment career as a singer with the band VandaVanda, who had a hit in 2001 with “Sunshine After the Rain.” From 2006 she pursued her career as a presenter and production assistant with public broadcaster VRT Radio 2.
Van Hoof says much is happening in the Flemish radioscape. Referring to her move to Nostalgie, she says, “I was triggered by what has been going on during the last months with Nostalgie, both in terms of music and experience. I’m very happy to add a new and exciting chapter to my radio story.”
“We have quite some plans on the shelf, and having someone like Iris boarding the vessel is great,” adds Nostalgie station manager Jo Nachtergaele. “We’re happy to welcome her as producer, shaping our plans and ambitions for this summer and fall, but, in the future, she may very well return as radio presenter as well.”
