Cumulus Media’s Houston hit music station 104.1 KRBE hosted the third annual “Houston’s Little Heroes” community fundraising event on Dec. 5 to benefit Texas Children’s Hospital. The event raised $164,012.32 for the Texas-based charity.

Texas Children’s Hospital, a not-for-profit healthcare organization, focuses on improving the future of children and women globally through leadership in patient care, education and research.

104.1 KRBE’s “The Roula & Ryan Show” kicked off the daylong event with a live broadcast from the Houston hospital, continuing throughout the day with afternoon drive hosts Kevin and Audrey. Listeners heard moving and inspiring stories from hospital staff, patients and families about how Children’s Miracle Network has transformed the lives of children facing medical challenges and hospitalization.

“We are so grateful for the incredible support from our community. This ‘Houston’s Little Heroes’ is an opportunity for our listeners to come together and make a real impact,” said Leslie Whittle, regional content director for KRBE-FM. “We’re excited to offer a fun and interactive way for our listeners to get involved while supporting a cause that truly matters on a local level.”
