The syndicated country music program Café Nashville has relaunched its 24/7 station and distributed shows using the Radio.Cloud platform, according to the company. The program’s six-hour daily show and one-hour weekly program are now produced, localized and distributed using Radio.Cloud’s cloud-based workflow tools.
Jody Van-Alin, CEO and host of “Café Nashville,” said the platform has supported the show’s transition to cloud-based production and distribution. “Radio.Cloud has been amazing to work with through our transition,” Van-Alin said. “We love the quick delivery and ability to operate from anywhere while filling the local needs of each affiliate.” Van-Alin said he will also produce and record the show from the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville for the first time, using the platform rather than pre-recording the program before traveling.
According to Radio.Cloud, the platform enables the show to customize segments for individual affiliates and markets using tools including Content Controller and Content Transporter.
Andrew Scaglione, account director at Radio.Cloud, said the company is supporting the program’s approach to localized programming. “Jody is so well connected in the country music community, and his vision for up-to-the-minute, localized content fits perfectly with our capabilities,” Scaglione said. “We’re excited to support Café Nashville as the show continues to grow.”
Van-Alin said the platform’s cloud-based voice tracking tools also enable him to produce content remotely while monitoring how affiliate stations receive the program. “Voice tracking is incredibly easy in the cloud. I can do it from my Mac, and it sounds like it’s direct from my studio every time,” he said. “I love that I can also see if our affiliate stations have automatically downloaded the show for the day, as this saves time for the already very busy local programmers.”
According to Radio.Cloud, its Radio Playout Studio and programming suite are used by radio stations worldwide and are designed to support cloud-based broadcast workflows.
