ARIA award-winning rock band Birds of Tokyo will perform live at the 33rd Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAS) on Saturday, Oct. 29, when the event returns for the first time in three years. The band has won ARIA awards for “Rock Album of the Year” and “Most Popular Australian Band.” Joining them at the radio industry’s gala night will be First Nations entertainer Mitch Tambo and hip hop and pop artist ILLY.

Commercial Radio & Audio, the organizers of the annual event, says it expects nearly 1,000 guests to attend the black-tie event at the International Convention Centre in Sydney to recognize outstanding achievement across radio entertainment, music, news, talk, sport and podcasting.

“We’re thrilled to have such a creative and diverse lineup of Australian music talent on stage to help us celebrate the return of the ACRAS; the industry is ready for a huge night,” said Commercial Radio & Audio chief executive Ford Ennals.

Birds of Tokyo says they are looking forward to performing at the event, adding “It’s great we can finally do this in the same room together.”
