Commercial Radio & Audio and Triton Digital have released the July 2026 Australian Podcast Ranker, with “Mamamia Out Loud” leading the podcast chart with 950,673 monthly listeners. “Hamish & Andy,” produced by LiSTNR, placed second with 878,712 listeners. The ranker measures podcasts consumed by Australian audiences across participating publishers.
“ABC News Top Stories” ranked third with 468,815 monthly listeners, followed by News Corp Australia’s “News24 Update” with 458,272 and ABC’s “Conversations” with 391,694. News led the genre rankings with 4.51 million monthly listeners, while Society & Culture reached 3.83 million and Sports attracted 3.46 million. True Crime and Comedy completed the top five with 2.55 million and 2.51 million listeners, respectively.
Separate Triton Digital Demos+ survey data points to the commercial value of those audiences. More than half of podcast listeners bought something online during the previous month, while 61% of Society & Culture listeners purchased clothing or fashion items. Among monthly listeners aged 18 and older, 40% of True Crime listeners and 37% of News listeners visited a hardware store. In comparison, 31% of Health & Fitness listeners, 30% of True Crime listeners and 29% of Comedy listeners plan to buy furniture during the next 12 months.
CRA CEO Lizzie Young said the need for consistent measurement has increased as 55% of Australians aged 10 and older now consume podcasts each month. “The Ranker gives publishers, agencies and brands the trusted, independent data that turns a growing medium into a confident investment,” she said. CRA drew the 55% figure from Edison Research’s “The Infinite Dial 2026.”
CRA commissions the monthly Australian Podcast Ranker and Triton Digital publishes the results. It tracks the top 300 podcasts listened to by Australians as well as the top 300 Australian podcasts. The results follow IAB Podcast Measurement Technical Guidelines.
