ABU’s Digital Broadcasting Symposium is “Back in Business”

The Malaysian Minister of Communications and Digital gave the Ministerial Opening Session at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union’s Digital Broadcasting Symposium 2023, its first in-person event for two years.

Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil presented an opening address at the event on March 7, at the Royale Chulan in Kuala Lumpur.

This was the 19th year of the annual ABU symposium. Both 2021 and 2022’s events were 100% virtual, and the theme of the 2023 symposium is “Back in Business.”

According to organizers, the event included 12 conference sessions, nine workshops and five masterclass sessions, more than 90 speakers and experts from around the globe, and an exhibition with over 40 companies showcasing their products and solutions. Sponsors include WorldDAB, MCMC, iPSB technology, Whiteways Systems and Telekom Malaysia.

The detailed event program and a list of the speakers and exhibitors are available here. The event ran from March 6–9 at the Royale Chulan in Kuala Lumpur. Delegates from more than 53 countries representing more than 225 organizations are attended the gathering.
