Organizers of the upcoming ABU Digital Symposium Forum in Kuala Lumpur, March 4-7, have promised “another exciting and lively chapter in this series.” The 20th ABU DBS, aptly themed “Navigating AI Horizon,” ABU DBS 2024 is a composite event over four days combining an international conference, industry exhibition, focused workshops and masterclasses.

The organizers say the event will “address challenges, find solutions and share experiences related to diverse topics including technology implementation, creative content ideas, and enhancing user experiences.” They have tipped it as “your window into the exciting realm of digital communication.”

As the theme suggests, artificial intelligence takes the spotlight at ABU DBS 2024, and the event offers a look into a future where AI transforms broadcasting into a more personal, efficient and engaging medium.

The organizers have booked over 90 speakers who share their expertise across 12 conference sessions, nine workshops and five masterclasses. Key focus areas will be technology implementation, business evolution, content strategies and advanced media delivery.

Diversity is a defining characteristic of ABU DBS, and 2024 will be no different. Delegates already registered represent more than 230 organizations from 52 different countries. Registration is still open, and the organizers are encouraging broadcasters, regulators, media professionals, content creators and solution providers to join them in Kuala Lumpur.
