Few events bring so many companies serving the audio broadcasting sector together under one roof. RedTech used IBC2026 in Amsterdam to record six new “2 Mins of Tech” videos with company leaders and product specialists. Each conversation offers a concise look at technology addressing current challenges in radio production, programming, playout and audience engagement.
Max Pandini, audio processing specialist at Telos Alliance, introduced the Omnia XII, its flagship FM, HD Radio and DAB audio processor. He explained why contemporary processing can help stations retain P1 listeners as radio competes with Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube in the car. You can watch the video here.
Jason Hancock, WideOrbit’s senior director of global sales and William “Dub” Irvin, managing director and VP, radio automation, presented WO Fusion, WO Aurora and Patterson Media’s resonate programmatic radio solution. Their demonstration focused on Guest Link, which lets on-air talent invite a guest into a show through a time-limited browser link without requiring additional software. You can watch the video here.
Liam Burke, commercial director at Broadcast Radio at Broadcast Radio, showed how Myriad Playout 7 brings listener song requests and messages directly into the studio log. Presenters can place requests manually or approve them for an eligible slot, while music scheduling rules prevent unwanted song or artist repeats. You can watch the video here.
Susan Larkin, president and CEO of RCS, discussed the balance between broadcast reliability and cloud innovation. She highlighted ZettaCloud for cloud-native playout and SelectorCloud for browser-based music scheduling, alongside the company’s on-premises and hybrid options. You can watch the video here.
Michael Thielen, vice president for media solutions at CGI, presented the latest dira Dimension radio production and playout suite, along with updates to dira Onair Player, dira Medox and OpenMedia. Its AI-assisted features include text-to-speech, while the system marks AI-generated or modified material throughout the workflow as CGI accounts for the EU AI Act. You can watch the video here.
Tobias Dornbusch, product expert at CaptionCast, explained how the company’s automated newsroom platform can give archived radio content another life. It records and transcribes live shows, then adapts the text, voices and sound design for different languages, audiences and formats, such as turning a science program into a children’s program.
