Xperi sponsors Girls in Tech

Xperi has announced it is sponsoring Girls in Tech, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating the gender gap in the technology sector. Girls in Tech facilitates workshops, mentorship programs and a job board to help its more than 60,000 members grow professionally and personally. Women can access their content and resources by becoming a member for free.

Xperi says the sponsorship is part of its commitment to contributing to organizations that reduce the gender gap in entry-level tech jobs and beyond. It adds that its talent acquisition team focuses on investing in strategic partnerships that advance diversity, equity and inclusion within Xperi and the tech industry more broadly.

“I am excited that Xperi is helping talented young women on their journey to become strong leaders in tech who care about each other and their communities,” says Kat Stermer, Xperi’s senior supervisor of connected radio metadata and chair of its Women in Technology employee resource group. “Being a good corporate citizen means lifting people up, not only within our walls but in the communities where we live and work.”
