WorldDAB outlines DAB+ sessions for ABU DBS 2026

WorldDAB will highlight developments in DAB+ digital radio and broadcast technology during the upcoming ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium, which takes place March 30–April 2 in Kuala Lumpur.

The organization says it will contribute presentations and discussions across several sessions in the conference program, addressing topics such as broadcast technology standards, media distribution and digital network resilience.

On Wednesday, April 1, Lindsay Cornell, chair of the WorldDAB Technical Committee, will speak during Session 4, titled “Advancements in broadcasting technologies and standards,” scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Later that day, Bernie O’Neill, project director at WorldDAB, will take part in Session 7, “Advancement and innovation in media distribution and delivery,” running from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

WorldDAB will also host a dedicated workshop titled “Designing resilient DAB+ digital radio networks” from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The following day, Thursday, April 2, Les Sabel, chair of the WorldDAB APAC Technical Group, will participate in Session 10, “Securing Broadcast Networks in the Digital Transformation Era,” scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

WorldDAB invites delegates to visit the WorldDAB pavilion during the exhibition to meet the team and its co-exhibiting members, ITEL, Paneda and RadioDNS.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union organizes the ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium. The event brings together broadcasters, regulators and technology suppliers from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss developments in broadcast media and digital distribution.
