Worldcast Group’s Connect Releases Kybio 4.x

Monitoring and control platform Kybio has been upgraded to a new version. The product was developed by Connect, a software technology company owned by WorldCast Group. Designed for media and broadcast companies, the platform oversees and centralizes the monitoring of audio/video infrastructures. It serves verticals such as IPTV, satellite, cable, radio, and TV for multiple applications including network operating centers, master control rooms, OB vans, live video production, and more.

The company explains that version 4.x introduces new capabilities and features for more flexibility, security, scalability and ease of deployment. Of note, it said, is that Kybio is now fully agnostic for all communication protocols used within the media industry. With this upgrade, Kybio can communicate with well-known protocols like Ross OpenGear X and Ember+ as well as with IT protocols such as HTTP Rest API or WMI.

Kybio Cloud Instance for SaaS licenses supports large-scale cloud deployment worldwide. The new software version includes dynamic diagram enhancements, which add to the previous site level representation with views at the root, site and equipment level. The diagrams are dynamic, fully customizable and can include images and bar graphs to show equipment information in a single view.

In addition, Kybio’s language portfolio has grown to also include Portuguese, Korean, Italian and German. Kybio’s open driver policy users have access to a growing library of drivers.

“Enhanced with a customizable dynamic multi-screen display, automatic reporting, an automation module for RF switch management and compatibility with all communication protocols, Kybio is designed to manage and address the critical challenge of operating complex satellite, IPTV and cable media infrastructures, ensuring the best service to their audiences.” said Nicolas Boulay, copresident at Connect.

Kybio’s auto-configuration engine drives down the cost of long deployments, said the company. The solution is available as an on-premise or SaaS license.
