WorldCast Systems has released version 3.4.0 of its Ecreso FM AiO Series transmitters, introducing native support for aptX HD and additional cybersecurity and operational improvements.
The company said the update integrates aptMPX technology directly within the transmitter platform. With the implementation of aptMPX V2, the built-in APT IP decoder now supports MPX compression with RDS at 300, 400 and 600 kbps, enabling broadcasters to adapt to different network conditions while optimizing bandwidth use.
According to WorldCast Systems, embedding aptMPX directly into the transmitter simplifies studio-to-transmitter link architectures by reducing the need for external devices. The company said the approach can improve reliability while offering greater operational flexibility.
Version 3.4.0 also enhances the transmitter’s integrated streaming player, which supports Icecast and Shoutcast sources commonly used by radio stations worldwide. The player now supports both MP3 and AAC formats, allowing stations to use web streams as a backup source while maintaining audio quality and compatibility with common streaming infrastructures.
David Houzé, Ecreso product manager at WorldCast Systems, said the update strengthens the transmitter platform’s position within modern broadcast workflows. “With version 3.4.0, the AiO Series reinforces its position as a secure, future-ready and fully integrated transmitter designed for modern broadcast environments,” Houzé said.
WorldCast Systems said the software update is available free of charge for Ecreso AiO Series transmitters and can be deployed on existing installations.
The company also said the new version will be demonstrated at the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 19 to April 22 at booth C2250.
