WinMedia has introduced WinAI, an AI-powered voice assistant designed to support broadcasters with voice cloning and automated mic breaks. The company gave the system its world premiere at IBC2025 in Amsterdam.
WinAI allows broadcasters to generate virtual voices for tasks such as station IDs, weather updates, news, commentary and other on-air segments. Voices can be created in real time and integrated directly into the WinMedia suite.
According to the company, WinAI includes a built-in system of certificates and contracts with voice talent, designed to ensure compliance with legal and rights requirements for cloned voices.
The tool utilizes a monthly credit model called “Mic,” providing broadcasters with flexibility to scale voice generation according to their needs. WinMedia says this approach simplifies workflows while enabling new creative options for stations.
The system was presented at IBC2025, held Sept. 12–15 in Amsterdam, where WinMedia showcased the technology at its booth and offered demonstrations to clients.
