Wheatstone will introduce the Wheatstream Duo, a Linux-based streaming appliance, at IBC2025.
The 1RU unit combines stream provisioning, audio processing and metadata support for two input channels, each with four outputs. Wheatstone says the appliance provides the reliability of Linux at a cost close to that of an equivalent PC.
According to the company, features include audio processing optimized for streaming, an HTML5 web interface and compatibility with analog, digital and AoIP studios, including WheatNet IP and AES67 systems. The appliance is metadata agnostic and works with standard CDN and streaming platforms, allowing for a streamlined workflow from automation to content delivery.
The company will showcase the Wheatstone Duo at stand 8.A56.
