Triton releases November Canada Podcast Ranker

Triton Podcast Ranker for Canada

Triton Digital has released the Canada Podcast Ranker for the November 2023 reporting period (Oct. 30–Dec. 3), as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service. It shows little change compared to the previous period.

The top three Canada-originated English-language podcasts included Front Burner (CBC/Radio-Canada) again at number one, “The World This Hour” (CBC/Radio-Canada) again at number two, and “World Report” (CBC/Radio-Canada) again at number three.

For this reporting period, the top three Canada-originated French-language podcasts included “Le Radiojournal” (CBC/Radio-Canada) again at the top, “Richard Martineau” (QUB) climbing to second, and “Les chroniques de Pierre-Yves McSween” (Cogeco Media) in third place.

Yet again, the top-ranked podcast overall was “Dateline NBC” (NBCUniversal News Group). SiriusXM Podcast Network earned the top spot again on the Top Networks Report with 3.76 million average weekly downloads, followed once more by Wondery Network in second place with 2.27 million and CBC/Radio-Canada ranked third with 1.94 million.

The top-ranked podcasts did feature several debuts in November, including “Alexandre Dubé” (QUB), “We’re Here to Help” (Audioboom), “Sortie de zone” (Cogeco Media) and “My Life of Crime with Erin Moriarty” (Paramount). “Crime Story” (CBC/Radio-Canada) and “Gay Girl Gone” (CBC/Radio-Canada) debuted for the originated English-language list.

Triton announced that NPR is temporarily excluded from the rankers this month due to a planned data collection migration. They will return to the rankers once the migration is complete.
