Triton releases June 2022 U.S. Podcast Report

Triton Digital has released its U.S. Podcast Report for the June 2022 reporting period (May 30–July 3) as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.

Stitcher Media remained in the top spot on the Top Sales Networks Report with 56.9 million average weekly downloads and 14.5 million average weekly users. NPR took second position with 30.7 million average weekly downloads and 6.4 million average weekly users, followed by Audacy Podcast Network in third place with 29.2 million average weekly downloads and 7.7 million average weekly users. 

The top three podcasts based on downloads were “Ben Shapiro Show” (Cumulus Podcast Network) which climbed up the first spot, NPR News Now (NPR) in second place and Crime Junkie (audiochuck) in third place.

For U.S. listeners, the top three podcasts in June were “Crime Junkie” (audiochuck), again at the top of the list, “Up First” (NPR), in second place and “The Ben Shapiro Show” (Cumulus Podcast Network), which is now in third position. 

New shows debuting during this period for downloads included Snapped: “Women Who Murder” (Wondery), “The Ed Mylett Show” (Stitcher Media) and “True Crime with Kendall Rae” (Audioboom).

Last month Triton introduced the U.S. Podcast Report on its interactive Triton Rankers website for an easy way to navigate monthly performance trends and filter by podcast category, publisher, and time period.
