Triton Digital releases Dec. 2023 U.S. podcast ranker

Triton Digital has released its Dec. 2023 reporting period (Dec. 4–Dec. 31) U.S. Podcast Ranker, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service. 

Yet again, SiriusXM Podcast Network remained in the #1 spot on the top sales networks report for December, with 38.1 million average weekly downloads and 12.1 million average weekly users. NPR came in in second position with 25. million average weekly downloads and 6.9 million average weekly users, followed by Wondery in position three with 22.6 million average weekly downloads and 6.9 million average weekly users. 
For this reporting period, the top three podcasts based on downloads included NPR News Now (NPR) at the top, Dateline NBC (NBCUniversal News Group) in second place, and Crime Junkie (audiochuck) in third place. 

For listeners, the top three podcasts included NPR News Now (NPR), first, Crime Junkie (audiochuck), second, and Up First (NPR), third. 

Debuts for both downloads and listeners in December include Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast (Audioboom), Mortal Sin (NBCUniversal News Group), and NPR’s Book of the Day (NPR). Stavvy’s World (All Things Comedy) debuted for listeners.
