Tindle adds Boom Radio to Channel Islands multiplex

Tindle News reports that Tindle CI Broadcasting (Tindle Radio) has added Boom Radio to its local DAB+ multiplex on the Channel Islands. The station becomes the 20th DAB+ offering from Tindle for Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney, with access to an additional 160,000 potential listeners.

Boom is headed by radio industry veterans Phil Riley and David Lloyd and is aimed at “baby boomers,” the generation of people born between 1946 and 1964, and is the first radio station in the United Kingdom to target this age demographic specifically.

Tindle Radio adds that Boom is home to legendary radio presenters, including ‘Diddy’ David Hamilton at lunchtimes, TV’s Judi Spiers, the great Jenny Hanley, the old pirate broadcaster Roger Day, Graham Dene and Nicky Horne from the early days of London’s Capital Radio and Les Ross – one of Birmingham’s most famous broadcasters.
