The Podcast Show 2023 reveals speakers

Organizers of The Podcast Show have revealed the first 50 speakers from its lineup of 350 speakers. The event returns to the Islington Design Centre in London on May 24–25.

Keynote Speaker for day one, Ashley Flowers, is the host of the true crime podcast Crime Junkie, and founder and chief creative officer of Indianapolis-based media company audiochuck. This past year, Flowers also released her debut novel All Good People Here, which became a New York Times Bestseller.

Other speakers include Dan Snow (History Hit), Hala Taha (Young & Profiting Podcast), Hana Baba & Leila Day (The Stoop), Jade LB (Keisha The Sket & +44 Presents The Noughties), Bernard P Achampong (Unedited), Nick Grimshaw (Dish from Waitrose Podcast), Jordan Harbinger (The Jordan Harbinger Show), Spencer Matthews (Big Fish), Vogue Williams (My Therapist Ghosted Me), Sam Faiers & Billie Faiers (The Sam & Billie Show), William Hanson and Jordan North (Help I Sexted My Boss).

Following the success of its inaugural event in 2022, the Podcast Show has confirmed Acast, Amazon Music and Wondery as headline partners, while Audioboom, BBC Sounds and Global return, with Veritone joining, as official partners.

Other partners include production companies such as Listen, TBI Media and Crowd Network, while international partners include Libsyn, Triton Digital, Patreon, Mackie and The Podcast Academy.

According to organizers, the show has doubled the size of its Brand Works Theatre on the main show floor, and the event will host more than 130 in-person panels and sessions with industry leaders, creators and podcasters, claiming a range of talks will cater to attendees at all stages of their career.

“Last year’s event generated lots of energy and ideas as big players and emerging podcast creators gathered together,” said Jonathan Wall, director of BBC Sounds said. “We’re delighted to be returning as a partner in 2023, as we continue to invest in the United Kingdom’s audio industry and up our creative ambition to work with a huge range of brilliant voices and bring our world-class storytelling to a wider audiences.”

The festival says it is expecting more than 15,000 visitors, with visitors from 20 countries already represented. More information and tickets are available here.
