A decade ago, the company introduced VX, a voice over IP talkshow system in a hardware appliance. The Telos VXs takes the system virtual as the industry adapts to changing broadcast workflows and operations.
Broadcasters can deploy VXs on their servers in the rack room, on shared servers in the centralized data center or in the cloud. According to Telos, these deployment options deliver the benefits of virtualization, such as easier facility-wide upgrades, cost-efficiency and automated deployment without site visits. The VXs system is scalable, and can be implemented in a single studio, across a facility or in a multi-location setup.
VXs includes Smart AGC coupled with Telos’ three-band adaptive Digital Dynamic EQ, a three-band adaptive spectral processor, noise gating and Acoustic Echo Cancellation. HD voice calls are improved from VX’s native support of the G.722 codec.
The VXs can be integrated with an existing AoIP network or plugged into a Livewire AES67 network. For those new to IP-Audio networking, VXs will work with all console brands, networked or not, using Telos Alliance xNodes.
VXs is available as a subscription or a buyout. TelosCare PLUS, for enhanced service and support, is included while a VXs subscription is active. The support package is included for the first year with a one-time buyout, and renewable yearly after that.
