Tech Focus: Lawo’s radio consoles are native AES67/Ravenna controllers designed for both standalone and networked operations.

Powered by the Lawo Power Core engine, the IP-native diamond console manages expandable I/O to accommodate AES67, MADI, analog, AES3 as well as Dante audio sources and destinations. Modular by design, diamond is available in configurations from two to 60 physical faders. Also powered by the Power Core with all I/O options — including Lawo’s AIOX for up to an expansive 1,280 analog and/or digital audio inputs — the new crystal is a versatile console for broadcast applications.

Based on the open Ravenna/AES67 audio-over-IP networking standards, it complies with SMPTE ST2110-30/31 for audio, and ST2022-7 for redundancy. In Controller mode, the new crystal can be used as an extension of a Lawo mc² console or as an OSC-compatible remote control for DAWs and live sound applications.

Lawo’s R PLAY VRX mixing software, finally, is a “virtual radio environment,” perfect for on-location assignments, ENG, webcasting and personal studios.
