Hiltron Communications’ HACUX-IDU2 is a 17-inch touchscreen option for the company’s HCS4 satcom system controller and HACU antenna control unit.
The 8 RU touchscreen panel is designed to mount in a 19-inch rack at a convenient location. The panel displays all HCS4 and HACU system parameters and lets you adjust them without an external keyboard or pointing device. Forming the central management and monitoring element for many satcom ground antenna systems, the HCS4 is based on modules designed to control waveguide switches for LNBs, LNAs and HPAs.
There are also module cards for L-band switching, antenna heater control, powering and band switching of LNBs and many other applications relevant to modern earth station antenna systems.
The Hiltron HACU is a complete control unit for use with motorized satellite antennas. Mountable directly on the antenna or at the antenna, it can be configured to support various antenna drive motors and multiple position sensors. The HACU and its associated motor-control electronics are integrated into a weatherproofed cabinet. Control can also be performed using a directly connected handheld unit.
