Targetspot‘s digital audio inventory is now available for sale in four Nordic European countries, following an agreement with Bauer Media Audio. The agreement expands Targetspot’s reach to Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

For Eric van der Haegen, Targetspot’s Strategic Partner Development director, the agreement concerns a key region in Europe. “The digital audio culture is already well established in all Nordic countries. This arrival in the countries of Northern Europe is naturally part of our strategy of promoting local partnerships,” he commented.

Bauer Media Audio is digital commercial broadcaster and audio operator for Europe. The company operates over 110 audio brands across seven European countries. The agreement allows advertisers to access the Targetspot inventory comprising well-known brands such as Sonos, AudioBoom, Blogtalk Radio, Trinity Audio, Radio France and Shoutcast radios.

Alexandre Saboundjian, CEO and founder of AudioValley (Targetspot’s parent company), believes that “Bauer Media Audio will be a strong ally in our development in Northern Europe.” He points out that digital audio consumption is high in the Nordic countries, referring to the latest Polaris Nordics study that found 91% of the population now streams music. The study also said that Nordics listen to digital music on average 3.2 hours a day. The source of musical discoveries is 36% for radio, and playlists of streaming services account for 13%.

Targetspot aims to add 10 new territories by the end of 2021 as part of its international expansion goals.
