Targetspot enters Latin American market

Europe-based ad-tech and digital audio monetization company Targetspot has entered the Latin American market, partnering with two leading publishers: social music streaming app, Resso and Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc.

Resso has gained rapid popularity in Brazil because it allows users to express, connect and interact with music and artists with a unique social streaming experience. Resso operates from global offices in the United States, Singapore, India, Indonesia and Brazil.

SBS owns and operates radio stations in the top U.S. Hispanic markets of New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Puerto Rico, airing the Tropical, Regional Mexican, Spanish Adult Contemporary, Top 40 and Urbano format genres. According to SBS, its platform of over 290 affiliated stations reaches 95% of the U.S. Hispanic audience.

“We are very excited about this new opportunity with Targetspot. La Mega 97.9 FM in New York City is the #1 streamed station in America, and in partnering with Targetspot, we will expand our reach into LATAM. Our streaming audience generates close to 200 million ad impressions per month. We look forward to expanding and growing in these territories,” says Albert Rodriguez, SBS president and chief operating officer.

A dedicated LATAM office

Targetspot recently opened a dedicated Latin American office in Miami, Florida, led by Angelica Potes, who joined the company in 2019. Potes has 11 years of experience working in the Latin and North American markets.

“I am very excited about this new challenge. I believe that LATAM represents a great opportunity for local advertisers to benefit from a vast and diverse inventory of channels and audiences. We are nearing 1 billion impressions available already. Through our services, they can reach new and more engaged audiences than would be possible through traditional digital media”, says Angelica Potes.

“We are glad to finally be physically present in the Latin American Market. We have created amazing partnerships with big-name publishers. This is the right moment to go live officially. Audio is growing rapidly, so it’s a great opportunity for advertisers to leverage their digital media budget through this engaging medium”, explains Alexandre Ouhadi, Targetspot’s chief revenue officer
