Targetspot Continues International Expansion

Targetspot says it’s continuing its international expansion.

Following new deals with Sonos, Radio France, Stingray and TuneIn, the company has announced a new partnership with Southern Cross Austereo in Australia.

Under this partnership, SCA will be the Australian representative for Targetspot’s offering. This comprises radio streaming service Sonos Radio and its portfolio of podcasts and digital radio stations.

SCA has TV, radio and digital assets covering 95% of Australia’s population. According to Targetspot, the deal will provide advertisers with “unique access to highly targeted and engaged audiences” in this new geographic market.

“I’m already looking forward to this partnership with SCA, one of Australia’s leading media companies,” said Alexandre Saboundjian, CEO and founder of AudioValley.

“This agreement dovetails perfectly with our strategic rationale of speeding up growth by building a strong international reach. As previously announced, we aim to strengthen our international coverage through partnerships with local players. We plan to take position in 10 new countries by the end of 2021,” he added.

As part of its expansion announcement, Targetspot welcomed Eric van der Haegen as the firm’s strategic partner development director. In this role, he’s in charge of business development in new geographic regions. These include Asia-Pacific zone, Scandinavia and Latin America.

Eric van der Haegen is Targetspot’s strategic partner development director.

van der Haegen previously worked at AudioValley for eight years. More recently, he devoted himself to a high-tech start-up, specializing in digital media/data consulting services.

“Forging strong partnerships is essential to our international growth, as is strengthening our teams. This is the reasoning behind our high-calibre recruitments in recent months,  and which continues today with the arrival of Eric,” concluded Saboundjian.
