Nautel’s series of Transmission Talk Tuesdays are back for 2023, and class is in session.

Now open for registration, Jeff Welton will be joined by a range of guest panelists on a range of subjects and as usual the floor will be opened up for your input and questions. They are definitely not your typical webinar!

HD Radio from the Ground Up (May 23)

This session will be devoted to optimizing existing installations and what to be aware of when figuring out what’s needed for a new install. The session will delve into different combining methods, whether equipment should be at the studio or the transmitter site – and what needs to be considered in each case. Sign up here.

Get Grounded (June 6)

This session will talk about grounding and bonding, single point and halo – and again, take a look at things that can be done to optimize existing facilities. If you’ve got a challenging site with respect to storm activity, Nautel is encouraging you to start a conversation in advance and Jeff will take it on as a case study during the session. NextGen Talent: Education and Mentoring (June 20)

This discussion will focus on the need for continuing education in our industry and will focus mentoring, how to be an Elmer to newcomers in the industry and how to keep the lights on for the next generation! What ideas do you have to help improve the education available to newcomers? Sign up here.

Combiners and Filters (July 18)

Combiners and Filters apply to all aspects of RF transmission, AM, FM and TV.Every transmitter has at least a filter at some point in the output chain. The session will talk about different configurations, what needs to be considered, and how much isolation we can get from different types of combiner. Sign up here.

What’s up with EAS? (August 1)

The session with look at general guidelines for best practices and talk about different ways to forward, EAS insertion points, getting EAS onto HD secondaries and other related topics. Sign up here.
