French-based radio broadcaster RMC will head out to Tokyo to cover the summer Olympic Games with Digigram’s One IP audio solution. A member of the ALTICE Group, RMC focuses on news, talk shows and sports.

RMC Radio will broadcast live commentaries and recorded interviews from the Tokyo IBC facility. To deal with the challenges that come with the pandemic, the broadcaster designed a new workflow which involves remotely mixing the captured audio streams onsite prior to broadcasting them to Paris.

“This is a new scheme for us, and as a longtime solutions provider for RMC, we trust Digigram for its reliable solutions. I am confident the One IP solution will support a seamless processing and editing of live and recorded audio feeds, ready for delivery to the RMC headquarters in Paris,” commented Dimitri Grossi, RMC’s Head of External Media Production.

The Digigram solutions package includes the Iqoya Serv/Link located in Paris and Tokyo, operating 28 codec instances each; the portable codec Iqoya Talk coupled to Iqoya Guest service, which will enable 10 onsite journalists to freely deploy and live operate over the various sites of the venues; and the Iqoya Connect service, which operates the overall system management, including the monitoring and control over the entire fleet.
