RCF Hauts-de-France organizes special day in Amiens

To celebrate the start of its DAB+ broadcasting in Amiens, French Christian radio station RCF Hauts-de-France is relocating its studios to the Maison Saint Jean-Baptiste, in the heart of the city, on Tuesday, Jan. 24 for a radio day, open to the public between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Thanks to the opening of new DAB+ transmitters at the beginning of December, RCF Hauts-de-France now covers a population of nearly 3 million inhabitants in the Hauts-de-France region. The inhabitants of the Somme and Saint-Quentin can now listen to a new regional radio station that broadcasts a program covering political, economic, cultural, associative and religious news.

With the slogan “Joy is shared,” RCF says its editorial ambition is to share the joy of living and believing and to allow listeners to understand and love the world.

On Jan. 24, RCF will offer a live broadcast from 11 a.m. to noon, hosted by Michel Picard and Jean Duquesne, who will explore Amiens, its history and current events with Bishop Le Stang of Amiens and Brigitte Fouré, Mayor of Amiens. At noon, Michel Picard will propose a “Press Club” to journalists from the Somme. RCF will then record several programs on the life of Amiens and will be live again from 6.10 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Anne Henry and Martin Pinguet for a review of Amiens’ cultural and social news, with representatives of the Maison Jules Verne and a cannery citizen.
