Radiodays Europe is Oct. 9–11, In-Person and Online

Due to the pandemic, Radiodays Europe was postponed from March 2020 to October 9–11, 2021. The organizers have announced a hybrid event — in-person at Lisbon Congress Center and also online.

As conference registration opens soon, Radiodays Europe is encouraging those who want to attend in person to start their travel plans. With safety measures in place, Portugal is opening up travel restrictions and are welcoming non-essential travelers from the EU, the Schengen area (Norway, Switzerland, etc.), the U.K. and the U.S, among others, Radiodays reports.

The organizers recommend booking refundable air tickets and hotel reservation, should circumstances change, and they encourage travelers to stay informed on the quarantine requirements for going in and out of their home countries.

RDE 2021 will present sessions in four parallel tracks as previously, and there will be an exhibition area as well as coffee and lunch catering for attendees at the venue.

The event will follow the requirements of the Portuguese Health Authorities. The Lisbon Congress Center is currently planning to operate at 50% of normal room capacity, so Radiodays has booked large session rooms and lounge and exhibition areas to spread out the crowds. Safety measures will include spread-out seating, wide corridors, a served lunch instead of buffet, masked staff, frequent cleaning, etc.

Radiodays Europe will open on Saturday at noon, with Sunday and Monday being the main conference days. The website and newsletter will have frequent updates on traveling to Portugal in the months ahead.
