Radiodays Asia 2022 announces additional speakers

Radiodays Asia has announced two more speakers for this year’s conference, September 6-7, in Kuala Lumpur.

Christoph Falke, general manager of Axel Springer Audio, Germany, will speak on “Publisher going into Audio — The Audio Journey.” Axel Springer is Europe’s leading digital publisher and has the mission to become the top publisher in audio journalism in German-speaking countries by 2025. Falke heads the centralized audio unit of Axel Springer, established a year ago. This “Team Audio” manages the radio portfolio and the podcast business of Axel Springer’s new media brands like Bild and Welt. Falke will give some insights on the role of audio and its impact on the company’s strategy, including hands-on examples of how to accelerate the audio business with new ideas and products.

Amanda Lee, content director with Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox, which is part of Australian media group Southern Cross Austereo, will speak on “Content Leadership and Talent — The Perfect Marriage.” Lee is one of Australia’s leading content directors, and she will share why the bond between a content director and a station’s talent is like a marriage. She will explain how creativity, lived experiences and collaboration bring ideas to the microphone, where trust enables stories to be told, how providing honest and genuine feedback leads to growth and creating memories together unifies a team that becomes the ultimate radio pairing.
