Radio Wazaa trusts AEQ for new station

Radio Wazaa AEQ Forum IP Split

Mauritius FM station Radio Wazaa has built its studio around AEQ’s modular Forum IP Split digital console. The station, which went live this year across the 103.2, 100.5 and 106.5 FM frequencies, says it chose AEQ due to robustness, ease of operation and modular design.

With a focus on Bollywood music and local music talent slots, Radio Wazaa has full coverage across the island and within a few months has already achieved a solid base of listeners and more than 137,000 followers on its official Facebook account.

The decision to build the main broadcast studio around AEQ was a decision made by technical management from the outset.

AEQ says its Forum IP Split is a mixer designed for on-air broadcast control, which incorporates features necessary for radio broadcast as standard, such as automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, fader start, signalling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment and management of external communications.

The installation was completed with an AEQ IP multi-conference system.
