Radio Competition Launched to Combat Moroccan Climate Change

In partnership with the European Union, Tunisia-based Hit Radio has launched a contest to encourage Moroccans to actively participate in the fight against climate change.

Called “Climtna,” the contest is aimed at young people committed to preserving the environment in Morocco and who wish to share their eco-friendly idea, initiative or project.

Participants must submit a short video presentation of their project on the competition page on the Hit Radio website. Those interested have until Nov. 28 to enter.

A jury, made up of members of Hit Radio, delegates of the European Union in Morocco and the Switchmed program, will evaluate the videos/projects according to three main criteria: the relevance and innovation of the project, its impact on the environment and its feasibility or replicability.

The winner of the Climtna contest will receive a prize of 15,000 dirhams (about €3,500) and coaching from the Switchmed program. The terms and conditions and rules of the competition are available here.
