Ràdio Bisbal Goes Digital With AEQ

Ràdio Bisbal is the local radio station for the Catalan town of La Bisbal de la Emporda. It was created to bring regional news to its inhabitants, mixing cultural, sports and musical content in fresh programming.

The station recently upgraded to equipment with IP technology. For the main control of the station, it installed a countertop version of the AEQ Capitol IP compact digital mixer. The mixing console with IP connectivity and dual telephone hybrid is based on a single module of 16 input and 16 output channels, built into its main audio chassis. It can be expanded with another 16 channels of input/output AoIP Dante and a dual digital telephone hybrid module.

AEQ gear installed at Ràdio Bisbal

AEQ describes the Capitol IP console as having all the basic characteristics necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, fader-start, signalling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, external communications management, intercommunication, etc. The company says its compact size (2RU engine and 19-inch wide control surface) adapts well to different scenarios: self-control, control room, mobile units, television production controls and sound production.

Ràdio Bisbal also installed the Dante Controller application, which enables and facilitates the configuration and routing of audio in Dante networks. The application allows users to view all Dante-enabled audio devices, as well as see their channels on the network, clock and the status of existing audio routes.
