According to reports, while the budget for each phase of the project is currently in the planning process, Radio Pakistan has already identified the location of the first high-power digital transmitter.
The broadcaster in fact has placed a sign in Sariab Road, Quetta announcing the future location of a 100-kW DRM sender.
“The new digital service will grant many locals in the Quetta area access good-quality audio programs and artists in their native languages,” comments the DRM consortium.
Once the government finalizes the budget, it says it’ll publish a public tender in order to acquire the transmitter.
