Netherlands awards new broadcast licences

WorldDAB reports that five Netherlands broadcasters, DPG Media, Business Nieuws Radio, Financial News Radio, Mediahuis and Talpa Radio, have received licenses to broadcast nationwide commercial radio stations from Sept. 1, 2023 to 2035.

Micky Adriaansens, the Netherlands Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate, announced the Dutch national radio auction results. Through the auction, which started on July 4, the central government made nine nationwide packages available, each consisting of one FM license and one DAB license. The auction raised a total of €152.8 million.
