Nautel, Radio Technology Forum, NAB Show 2026

Transmitter maker Nautel has released a guest speaker list for its NAB Show tradition, the Radio Technology Forum, April 19 (Sunday), starting at 8:30 a.m., at the Westgate’s Main Ballroom.

Speakers will include Joe D’Angelo, senior vice president, of Xperi, Kevin Newberry, CEO of Quu and Keith Barton, vice president and general manager, U.S. small radio group owner Max Media.

In addition, there will be a forum, “Finding, Mentoring and Teaching the Next Generation,” moderated by Nautel’s jack-of-all-trades Jeff Welton. It will discuss the age-old concern of the aging out of broadcast engineers and lack of new blood entering the field.

He will be joined by Dr. Andy Gladding of Hofstra University and Geary Morrill, chair of the Society of Broadcast Engineers’ Education Committee and regional director of engineering for U.S. radio station group owner Connoisseur Media.

After that Welton will speak with U.S. small radio station group owner Civic Media Chief Operating Officer Kory Hartman about “challenges and answers found in small market radio, including engineering support, staffing, parts availability, and other situations.”

Last but not least, Welton will reprise his well-known Tips and Tricks session.
