MIW extends deadline for country radio mentorship program

Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW) said it has extended the application deadline for its third annual “Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Country Radio” mentorship program, delivered in partnership with Country Radio Broadcasters.

MIW, a United States-based nonprofit focused on advancing female leadership in radio, said it will now accept applications through April 30, following what it described as strong industry interest.

The program, now in its third year, forms part of an ongoing collaboration between MIW and Country Radio Broadcasters, the organization behind the annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville. MIW said the two organizations have renewed their partnership through a multi-year agreement aimed at supporting women working in the country radio format.

The year-long initiative connects one selected mentee with senior figures in U.S. country radio for mentoring, industry introductions and professional development. MIW said the program focuses on strengthening leadership pathways within the format.

As part of the program, the selected participant will attend the 2027 Country Radio Seminar, which brings together broadcasters, programmers and industry executives from across the U.S. country radio sector.

The program is open to one woman working full-time at a U.S. country music radio station, with at least five years of industry experience.
