Malaysia’s RTM Sarawak gets a new look

Malaysian radio and TV broadcaster Radio Televisyen Malaysia recently upgraded its Sarawak operation in Kuching. RTM Sarawak provides content on its stations in Malay, Melanau, English and Chinese languages.

According to Senior Project Manager Yap Wei Keong of integrator Stagetec Asia, “A key part of the RTM Sarawak project was the integration of six DHD SX2 modular consoles plus primary and auxiliary XC2 cores. The consoles are assigned to RedFM (shown above), Wai FM Iban (shown below), Sarawak FM and Wai FM Bidayuh…”

Additional equipment and software included Zenon Media radio automation along with other equipment from AVT, Focusrite, RTW, Sonifex, Telos and Yellowtec.

Stagec Asia Managing Director Advon Tan added, “RTM’s trust and satisfaction in its partnership with Stagetec Asia are grounded in a robust collaboration initiated in 2005, a bond further highlighted by the recent undertaking of an extensive broadcast project at Angkasapuri Kota Media.”
