JackTrip Labs unveils beta version of JackTrip Radio

JackTrip Radio

JackTrip Labs, the Silicon Valley-based remote real-time music-making platform, has announced the beta release of JackTrip Radio. This enhancement to JackTrip’s virtual studio platform enables musicians to share their live performances so that anyone can listen online.

JackTrip says its radio offering allows virtual studio subscribers to invite friends, family, or anyone with an internet connection to listen to rehearsals or performances, expanding the horizons of what is possible in virtual music-making.

“There is no complicated software to learn or install,” said Mike Dickey, CEO of JackTrip Labs. “Listeners just join with a web browser. Simply copy and send the URL to as many people as you like. Best of all, it is completely free to listen.”

According to JackTrip, key features include broadcasting in high-fidelity streams, one-click streaming access from any computer or mobile device and recording and saving sessions to any computer. In addition, while JackTrip Radio is in beta, all time spent streaming will not count against the studio minutes on JackTrip Virtual Studio plans.
