Inovonics has delivered 55 Model 541 FM Modulation Monitors to All India Radio, India’s national public broadcaster, following a competitive tender process that began in 2025.

AIR has now received all of the units and plans to install them across its nationwide FM transmitter network over the coming months. According to Inovonics, the deployment supports AIR’s efforts to maintain signal quality and regulatory compliance across one of the world’s largest radio broadcasting networks.

Before awarding the contract, AIR conducted extensive compliance testing to verify the equipment met its technical requirements. Two AIR engineers traveled to Inovonics’ U.S. manufacturing facility, where they carried out several days of on-site evaluation. Many commercial broadcasters in India have previously used the company’s Model 531N FM modulation monitor. At the same time, the new all-digital Model 541 adds features including a built-in touchscreen display for real-time spectrum analysis and menu navigation.

“We are proud to support All India Radio’s mission with reliable, high-performance monitoring solutions,” claimed Ben Barber, chief executive officer of Inovonics. “The Model 541 represents the next generation of FM modulation monitoring, and we are pleased to help AIR continue delivering exceptional broadcast quality to its vast audience,” he said.
